Prosperity's 12 Affirmations

Today, let’s consider our responsibility and Spirit’s responsibility regarding our experience of Abundance. We can infer from the 7th Abundance principle that our responsibility is centered in awareness. I take that to include, thinking, feeling, asking, praying, meditating, visioning, visualizing and other mental activities.  As a result of our mental activity,  people, occurrences and events appear to show up with opportunities and blessings.  However we must we willing to act when we are guided;  our actions flow from the causal space of Mind.

John Randolph Price’s 7th Abundance Principle:

The Divine Consciousness I Am is forever expressing its true nature of Abundance. This is its responsibility, not mine. My only responsibility is to be aware of this Truth. I am totally confident in letting go and letting God appear as the abundant all sufficiency in my life and affairs.

Prosperity’s 4th Affirmation:

4.    I surrender the details of my wealth creation to God.

I rest confidently in the Peace of Spirit; I surrender the details of my wealth creation to the Divine Consciousness I Am and God appears as my all sufficiency.

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. – Matthew 21:22

Trust the Lord of your being today. Allow the God-Self within you to give you the experience of fulfillment by allowing It to orchestrate the details of you life. If this is new to you, try it just for today.

John Randolph Price’s 9th Abundance Principle:

When I am aware of the God-Self within me as my total fulfillment, I am totally fulfilled. I am now aware of this truth. I have found the secret of Life, and I relax in the knowledge that the Activity of Divine Abundance is eternally operating in my life. I simply have to be aware of the flow, the radiation, of that Creative Energy, which is continuously, easily and effortlessly pouring forth from my Divine Consciousness. I am now aware. I am now in the flow.

Prosperity’s 4th Affirmation:

4.    I surrender the details of my wealth creation to God.

I am comfortably resting in God’s care; I surrender the details of my life to the Lord and I give thanks for my blessings.

Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. -Psalms 37:3

Let’s affirm the final 3 of the 5 GIFTS of Abundance, Forgiveness (love), Tithing (giving) and Surrender (trust). When we give ourselves these gifts through affirmation, we become identified with the energies of love, giving and trust. Paradoxically, as we radiate these energies into our surroundings, we become powerfully attractive to the people, circumstances and things that satisfy our most profound desires. Try on the following affirmations to get  your positive energies flowing:

Affirm Forgiveness: I am forgiving. I love when I am loved and I forgive whenever love is withheld in my experience.

Forgiveness is a mentally, emotionally and spiritually cleansing process. Our nature is to seek and be drawn to love. Forgiveness brings us back to a possibility of experiencing love when we have withdrawn it or it has been withdrawn from us.

Affirm Tithing: I enjoy giving and I give a portion of my Gifts from God to the people and organizations that bless and uplift humanity.

Tithing is defined in scripture as giving 10% of our material blessings to the channels for God’s work which uplift and inspire us. The spiritual principle is to be giving just as Life is giving. The nature of Life is to give and when we give freely we are attuned to the flow of Life.

Affirm Surrender: I surrender to the power, wisdom and love of God within me. Surrender usually connotes failure or resignation but in this context it is totally different. In this context we are surrendering to the indwelling Spirit within us which is our strength and access to Possibility. We are giving up trying to do everything ourselves and we trust God guide us and orchestrate circumstances to serve our highest good. We do our best and leave the rest up to God.

Roberta, the butterfly is teaching me and perhaps many others, an unexpected lesson in transformation.

Elyse Hope Killoran’s June 2007 Choosing Prosperity Experiment continues to be my inspiration for my most recent posts.  Today’s experiment revolves around Elyse’s experience with a butterfly she received for her birthday this past Monday. I suggest you read her post for today to get the full benefit from today’s prosperity lesson. It is rich in ideas and references to other interesting websites and resources.  I especially recommend reading the Butterfly Effect Editorial from The Center for Alternative Development Initiatives for its insights regarding societal transformation. Consider how these ideas can be applied to personal transformation in the context of Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations.  For me Affirmation 4 is relevant to transformation.  We are transformed when we let God workout the details of our wealth creation. We can accomplish this when we surrender to the idea of prosperity producing “imaginal cells” (or their spiritual equivalent) working in our consciousness to create an entirely new and magnificent, prosperous being.

The major lesson for me today was how to process the fact that Roberta was born unable to fly.  I found myself assigning blame to those who would send living creatures through the mail without regard to the possible negative consequences. Then I thought is this typical of capitalist thinking, exploiting nature for profit… As you can see I was prepared to go on a mental trip that was taking me in the exact opposite direction of that intended by Elyse and the Prosperity Experiment. It is my choice how I respond to this and everything else I experience in life. In the moment of that realization I chose to focus on the love and attention that Elyse and her son have chosen to give Roberta and the widespread effect this story is having all over the world. After coming to this conclusion for myself, I was reassured by Elyse’s follow-up post.

Operative Faculties – Renunciation, Strength, Faith

Prosperity Commandment – You shall let go and let God do it.

Mosaic Commandment

Exodus 20:8-11  “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. You shall labor six days, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God. You shall not do any work in it, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates; for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day, and made it holy.

Commentary

My thoughts about it: Appreciate the importance of ceasing activity and taking time to rest. You can not do it all, all of the time. The operative faculties are Renunciation, Strength and Faith.  We could, perhaps, should apply all of our faculties to all of Prosperity’s Affirmations. So the selection of operative faculties is almost arbitrary, however there are certain faculties that are particularly evident in each affirmation.  In this case rest and surrender are key ideas in living this affirmation.  We want to release our need to be in constant activity as well as to let go of every thought, habit and circumstance that inhibits our experience of prosperity.  More importantly we must let go of our activity and allow God’s activity to complete the creation process.
