Wilma’s Gratitude and Progress Report
Dec 1st, 2007 by Wilma
The hospital started my sister on temporary dyalisis last night. She was swollen an additional 1/3 of her normal size. All medications were retained and recycled causing her to experience ICU psychosis ( check this on a medical web site). The dyalisis removed 3.4 liters of toxic fluid from her lungs and tissue. The doctor explained that the fluid in her lungs kept her from breathing on her own (she was ventilated 3 times and then a trache was placed in her throat).
Today, she was able to recognize us again and signal or type her needs in a coherent manner. Several medical feed lines have been disconnected and she breathes mostly on her own now. I am so grateful to all of you for your continued prayer support.
In Christ
Wilma
